Diane Portwood is a twenty-five-year-old self taught mixed media artist known for depicting life in the 'information age' in her compelling urban contemporary style. Her paintings consist of acrylic and spray paint between layers of resin to give her two-dimensional work a feeling of greater depth. Many of her works feature LED and neon components as well. Using bold colors and engaging graffiti backgrounds, Diane is able to depict the shortcomings of modern social constructs while also showing hope for the future in a delicate balance of optimism and cynicism.
