The panel and collage background were made as I was camping in a remote part of the San Juan Mountains near Silverton, CO along the Alpine Loop in between successfully summiting Sunshine Peak, Redcloud Peak, and Handies Peak which are all over 14,000ft of elevation at the summits. The summits were done over two days totaling about 21 miles hiked and 10,000 ft of elevation gain. I used all of the maps in the background of this painting to navigate many outdoor adventures during 2023. The painting itself was just finished in my studio in Fort Lauderdale, FL. No matter where this original ends up, it’s already well traveled
